After taking all security measures on one server and recovering from a hacking back in January, this time another of my servers has been compromised. This time deleting all website files from guitartutoronline.com. But wait! shouldn't the hosting company (Dreamhost) have backups on hand? Oh no apparently NOT! This feature as I fond wasn't activated in my system and as Dreamhost notified me...
"Unfortunately, while we do periodically make disaster recovery backups, they should never be relied on as a primary backup method, DreamHost supplied backups are provided as a courtesy."
Guitar Tutor Online was reloaded from a backup I found two years earlier and the site was left in a partially working state until I had time to fix it.
All access to GTO has been free for all untill the site is updated again
