Bar Lines

Bar lines divide the music staff into smaller workable sections. Grouping a certain amount of notes in each bar.

Tail, Flag diagramIn musical notation you will notice that some notes are linked together by a line. These lines are called beams. A beam is a horizontal line that links eighth notes, sixteenth notes, thirty second notes in fact any note that has a flag (tail) on it.
