Beginners How To Tune

How To Tune Your Guitar

Unfortunately tuning the guitar is one of the harder tasks to attempt when starting to play the guitar, it is also one of the more important. If your guitar is always out of tune you will have a hard time hearing how a songs should sound.

When you tune you are using your ears to bring the guitar to the correct pitch, if you have a poor sense of pitch, or are in some way tone deaf, tuning may be difficult.

An electronic tuner can be bought to help you, but be careful, a cheap electric tuner can be more problems than it's worth. Spend the money on a good one that gives an accurate reading.
