ABOUT THIS SITE
As reading and learning from your computer is usually slower, I have tried where ever possible to keep the text down to a minimum. There is nothing worse than reading through pages of text trying to learn something that can be easily described by one picture, animation or movie.
All lessons through out this site have been developed by you, the learner. Over the many years I have been teaching, I have come across the same questions asked by students when showing them how to play different styles, songs, rhythm patterns, scales and techniques. Although no two students were ever the same they all had similar difficulties with certain songs or styles. I have tried to lay out all lessons in this style, but you are unique, so if there is anything you don't understand in a lesson, e-mail (
) me about your confusion with that lesson and I will see if that lesson’s contents need reviewing and restructuring to make it more understandable.
What This Site Is :
- A step by step learning tool for you to be an accomplished guitarist
What This Site Is Not :
- A Tabliture site with thousands of popular tabs. (If you want a tab site then visit OLGA - one of the better tab sites on the net)
- A “learn how to play guitar in one day” site. (If you want to do something right then take the time to learn it properly)

Navigation Aids
Page Bottom Navigation
At the bottom of each page you will also find a text index of the section you are in, this way once you have scrolled down to the bottom of the page you can choose the next section without scrolling back to the top of the page.
Note: colours may be different on your computer.
Printing Pages
 |
Some pages contain animations to better explain a lesson, which makes it difficult to print. When you see this at the bottom of a page, click on it and this link will take you to a still page for you to print and view at a later date. |
MP3 Narration
|
|
Sometimes when learning, things make more sence when read to you. That is the idea of these narration aids. There are a high and low bitrate for faster and slower connections. HIGH: 56kbps 22kHz LOW: 16kbps 16kHz. |
Where Should You Start ?
If you have never played the guitar before now, then start in the"Beginners Lessons" section. Treat the pages like a book and go from left to right, then top to bottom. Each new lesson will assume that you have learnt the previous one.
If you have played before, then browse through the beginning until you reach a part that doesn't make sense or you haven't learnt before, and then make that your starting point for this site.
