Questions & Answers
Q: Can I learn these lessons using an electric or acoustic guitar? A: These lesson are guitar non specific. When you learn the guitar you have to get the basics out of the way (notes, chords, rhythm), either electric or acoustic is fine.
Q: What age group are these lesson meant for? A: From about 9 years and up. The lessons are meant to be self teaching so anyone younger than 9 would be best to get their Mum and Dad to help them.
Q: Do I have to be a computer wiz to work the lessons? A: No! Naturally. All you need is basic internet surfing skills and a keen interest in learning the guitar.
Q:Can the lessons be taught to a left hander? A: There are two ways diagrams can be shown for the left hander, upright (good for left and right) and in complete reverse (left handed). When developing the site I considered upright but this was impractical for diagrams showing the whole fretboard. The diagrams on the site, CD-ROM & download version are all right handed illustrated. I have many left handed lessons and I find there is a minimal difference in learning time on right to left handed diagrams. Unfortunately we live in a right handed dominated guitar playing world so It doesn't hurt to easily understand right handed diagrams. P.S. - I am also a left hander (playing right handed but!)
Q: Hi, I see you have two CD-Rom versions (CD & Download Version) I would like to order but I’m not sure which way to go. If I download can I put it on to a CD? A: The download version installs on you P.C. setting up links in your start menu and storing the files under the Program Files directory. It is possible to then burn that directory to a CD-Rom; however the start menu links wont work unless you change them in the properties. The file uncompressed takes about 650mb.

Level - Intermediate/Advanced: This video is the next step in practising your major scale. Once you get familiar with the major scale you should start playing varying pattern with them to help with improvisation. This pattern starts from the 1st note of the scale, goes up four notes then starts from the 2nd note of the scale and goes up another 4. Learn more here...
Level - Intermediate/Advanced: This video will help you practise your major scale. Starting the scale from the 2nd fret you will go up and down the pattern in thirds. The idea of these exercises are to confuse your fingers when you are already confidant in play the straight up and down major scale pattern.

Level - Intermediate/Advanced: This exercise is the same as the "Major Scale (Groups of 4)" exercise only it is based around the minor scale. If you can already play the before mentioned exercise then this one will be a breeze.
Level - Intermediate/Advanced: This exercise is the same as the "Major Scale (In 3rds)" exercise only it is based around the minor scale. If you can already play the before mentioned exercise then this one will be a breeze also.
