How does everyone else here get on with learning complete songs.
I am now at the stage where I have started to master many techniques and riffs and bits of songs etc but I am unable to play hardly any songs all the way through? Is this a fault in the way I am learning?.. the way I go about things is to find a tab of something I am interested in and learn that bit of tab but its often only the memorable bits or solo from a song and I dont seem to be able to put enought bits together to play a song from start to finish. It is often very difficult to find the motivation to learn an entire song from beginning to end. Sometimes to play an entire song from beginning to end on guitar, especially without accompaniment, just doesn't sound right either. I find that the only way I can learn a whole song from beginning to end is if I go about it and listen to it from start to finish, trying to play along, figuring out what parts go where, how many times, etc. While it might be hard to find the motivation, I don't know of any other ways. Good luck!
