Default Bar Chords Lesson Video

To view this full video you must me a member of Guitar Tutor Online (Join Guitar Tutor Online Here). I was going to open it to everyone but unfortunately it would suck my allotted domain traffic/bandwidth.

You can view a sample of this video here - 1.09MB

Level - Intermediate: This video discusses how bar chords are created from open chords. Linking the shapes through a simple theory.

File Size: 33MB
Resolution: 576x432
Codec: Xvid - (download this to get the picture working on the Video)
Length: 8:41

I have placed the video here because I want discussions on this lesson, what you do and don’t understand. I want to improve this process of teaching Bar Chords so that everyone understands it easily.

Default

I am only now starting to use barre chords. I have been playing for just over 18 months and am self teaching, (that is using sites like this as opposed to going to a tutor)..can that be called "self teaching"?...anyway I digress.
To get back to the point, I am finding that Barre chords seem to greatly improve the speed of my play - its far easier to move from chord to chord using barre shapes than open chord shapes in my experience. It seems to be opening up my repertiore much more now that I am learning to shift from chord to chord.
mind, its hard at first to get clean sounding chords !!!

Default Audio but no Video...

Hey Danny,

Downloaded the barre chord video last week, but all I got was audio...no video. I tried to open it using Windows Media Player... I downloaded Real Player this week...and tried both, but I still just get sound... What do you use to open a .avi file?

Thanks,
Danielle
