Forum & Gallery Intergration

Print

You now only have to log-in once to gain access to the Forum and the Gallery. On the old version of the site you had to make up accounts for each one. The form log-in has a small bug in it, please read the following.

This is a known problem that is low on my list of bugs to fix in the site because it is a simple solution.

After you register for the 1st time with the site then log-in (for the first time), I have noticed the forum doesn't log the user (you)in. All you have to do is log-out then log-in again and you will see your user-name appear in the top right of the forum section.

The one login takes care of 3 different modules to this site:
  • The actual site (accessing audio & video features)
  • The Gallery (this stores all scanned tabs)
  • The Forum (this!)

NOTE:Do NOT try to log-in or log-out from either the forum or gallery, only the top log-in.

Guitar Tutor Online has opened its doors!

Yes that's right for 1 year all lesson content of Guitar Tutor Online is available for everyone, NO subscription fee, you don't even have to leave a name or email to access all areas. So I bet you have a few questions then...

Q: Why?
A: While subscription has been steady the site has become stagnant and has not progressed much over the years. The only time it has is when members have pushed me to do so or shown an interest in the content. By opening the gates to the site it will generate allot more page hits and interest in its contents, therefore more feedback and progress.

Q: How can you afford to do this?
A: DONATIONS, DONATIONS, DONATIONS! If donations don't match the average yearly subscription total I will have no choice but to make the site "membership subscription" again. So please click and donate what you can to keep the site updated and active. Site opened for donations on the 26-10-2008.

Q: I've already paid a lifetime membership, how does this change effect me?
A: It won't, you will still have access to all areas but your subscription fee will be treated as a donation. The membership database has been backed up and in one years time if the donation total is under the average subscription total all current memberships will be reactivated and you will still have your lifetime membership account.

Work: I have have had this on the to do list for about a year now (as I was reminded by a member). So after two solid days of web design, video editing, audio recording, photography & tab wrighting it is done.

Reason: Because I love this song & guilt.
