Default Switching Guitars

An open question for you all.

Have any of you found difficulty in switching between accoustic and electric guitars or visa versa?

I bought myself an electric one t ocomplement my accoustic and I find it really hard to adjust between the two.

I've found my whole stance is different when trying to hold the electric one whether sitting or standing.
Especially my fretting hand.

Sitting, I've tried holding it away from my body at the same depth as the accoustic one.
This brings it's own obvious problems.

Anyone else found this or is it just me?
Is it some thing you just have to get used to after awhile or is there more?

i think its something that you have to get used to over time.
however i do find that playing an electric is much easier than acoustic.

I only have one kind of guitar so I can't really speak from experience but I'm sure it's only a matter of getting used to the different sizes and possibly shapes. You'll probably end up finding a comfortable way, naturally. There are also many sites that show you a good way of holding different guitars so you could try checking it out and see if you're doing something particularly wrong.

Good luck!

I can remember when I first started playing the guitar I did have the problem of when I switched guitars it would take me a while to settle in. But now all guitars are the same classical (wider neck) acoustic steel and electric. I think it's just a case of staying versatile.
