Default thumbpicks, base picking and left hand exercises

after watching some Tommy Emmanuel a few months ago, I decided to go and buy myself a thumbpick and start on a few exercise with baseline picking on the bottom EAD strings, at the same time learning how to pick independently, single and multiple strings on the GBE strings.

After about a hundred + hours of practice, I am starting to get the knack. I can maintain a base rhythm whilst independently plucking chords over the top. I now I want to be able to take it to the next level.

Am looking for some melody drills or chord progressions all over the fretboard that would sound awesome if played over a baseline rhythm.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
