Thumbs up

Danny, I ony found your site today, I have to admit it was not easy to find being well down on the google listings, but by golly it was worth looking for.
I am very well impressed with your song lessons, especially Hotel California.
I have been playing guitar for about 18 months, self taught using the net. I have had a couple of cracks at Hotel California but never has it been broken down to such managable chunks or as logically as you have done it here.
I truly am immensely impressed with the way you present the information. I especially like the way you have a play button for each individual bar. I cannot praise you enough for the work you have put into presenting the lesson.
I do think that you have an incredible way of presenting how to play a song. In all the time I have been playing, I have only learnt "bits" of songs and riffs etc, I am now looking to put all my knowledge into learning and being able to play full songs - I think this method will certainly go a long way if not all the way to doing just that.

well done indeed

Pete

I don't have 12 string guitar. Is there a way to play it on a single steel stringed acoustic?

You can play it the same as written, it won't matter to much if you play it on a 6 string it just won't have as rich or full sound as playing it on a 12 string. the string on the 12 string are still the same tuning.

I don't know if this is the right tone but I use a Fender set to the bridge pickup with the amp set on a medium amount of distortion.

When listening to the song it hear a little bit of delay in some areas (but mostly dry), the guitar has a slight phase or wah pedal tone to it in some areas, but it is really subtle.

.... but i'm not totally 100% sure.
