Tremolo Picking

Listen to audio example of this technique - 35kb

TREMOLO PICKING: This is where a note is played as rapidly and fluently as possible. You may hear this style of playing in a lot of Flamenco music.
If you can see this message then hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh page and view movie.

To play with speed you are best not to lay the pick flat across the string but face it down about 20-30 degrees. This way the pick will roll off the string and won't get stuck as it would if it was laying flat. Also don't hold the pick too far back, you only want to see the tip of the pick. So in summary only the tip of the pick is showing and it is striking the string at an angle.
